Sniper |
Piercing Ranged Attack, Medium Armor
Snipers are extraordinarily deadly, but they succumb easily to direct attack when the tables are turned. If a Sniper can predict the position of his target, he can take position in a defensible vantage point, allowing him to ambush with deadly bullets without exposing himself to undue danger. Distance is the Sniper's friend.
Only assassins may play as Snipers.

Snipe Increases the Sniper's damage, but lowers his movement speed by 90% |
|
Snipe Information
Sniping allows the Sniper to greatly increase his damage output, killing his target much more quickly, but he must remain immobile to use it. You can deactivate Snipe whenever you wish, but once you do, you will need to wait at least ten seconds before you turn it on again. You should use Snipe almost any time you're attacking, as long as you're not actually engaging in running combat. Turn it off when you need to move.
Flare Grants sight of the target area and reveals invisible units. |
|
Flare Information
Flare serves the double purpose of allowing you to track your enemies from a distance and detect invisible opponents. Use Flare on the VIP when he hides so that you can continue to attack him. Use Flare at a distance to locate the VIP and bodyguards and determine what direction they're moving. Using Flare near the start of a round can help your team get an idea of which gate the VIP is going to come out. You can also use Flare to reveal areas near you that you can't ordinarily see, such as behind trees or on higher cliffs, and then attack any opponents that the Flare reveals.Be careful not to cast Flare too often, however, as it can really eat up your mana.
Frost
Trap Creates a mine which detonates and slows enemies who approach it. |
|
Frost Trap Information
Frost Traps work like land mines. They inflict no damage, but will detonate when an enemy approaches and slow that enemy for five seconds.Use Frost Traps to cover your retreat if you get caught in the open. You can lay down a series of Frost Traps as you run to slow down pursuit. Also lay Frost Traps in areas which your enemies will pass through while you are sniping at them or while they are trying to approach you to keep them in position longer.
You can also lay Frost Traps in mid-battle if your enemy closes within melee range. He will either need to expend some of his attacks destroying the trap, or it will detonate and reduce his attack rate, allowing you to survive longer.
Paralyzing
Shot Causes the Sniper's attacks to reduce the target's movement speed. |
|
Paralyzing Shot Information
Paralyzing Shot is useful for holding your target in place while you attack him, making it harder for him either to get within range of you or to get out of your range. At high levels, you can practically immobilize your target, but you need to continue attacking the same target to keep the effect up. Combine Paralyzing Shot with Frost Traps to make your target move even slower.Note that Paralyzing Shot does not affect the target's attack speed, so if your target is simply standing in front of you and attacking, it won't help you.
Sniper Sight Increases the Sniper's sight range and attack range. |
|
Sniper Sight Information
Sniper Sight works passively to allow you to see and attack from a greater distance. Since the Sniper is frequently found in places where his movement is restricted, this can be invaluable in more effectively covering a bottleneck from a nearby cliff top or getting in those last parting shots on the VIP as he runs by you. With Sniper Sight, you'll find that you can launch effective attacks from positions which would previously have been too far or too exposed before.Sniper Sight can also help you get in extra attacks on opponents as they charge you. Combined with Paralyzing Shot and Frost Traps to slow them down, this can allow you to inflict a lot more damage before they join the battle.
