Letter Frequency |
A fairly simple code is based on letter frequencies. E is the most common letter in the alphabet, so it is represented by the first letter of the alphabet, A. T is the second most common, so it is represented by B. Although basing the code on the most common tool used to crack it--letter frequencies--can cause the code to be cracked much more quickly, it is still more complex and unheard of than the more common traditional codes, such as Alpha-Numeric and Backwards Alphabet. |
